Launch of new VBP501 Zoom Dome Camera from Concept Pro

Videcon PLC, one of the UK’s leading CCTV distributors has launched the Concept Pro VBP501 zoom dome camera.  Unrivalled in the market today, this camera is enclosed in a vandal resistant dome housing, designed specifically for applications where the camera may be subject to attack, such as petrol stations, retail outlets, public walkways and warehouses.


Incorporating the latest ¼” high-resolution CCD technology, this camera provides high picture quality and sensitivity.  Complete with a built-in 22x zoom lens and day/night option the VBP501 offers a solution to fixed camera positions where greater object detail is required during the day or night.


The VBP501 is a unique, versatile unit, featuring a tri-axis gimble for wall mount applications and an on screen menu for ease of set-up.  What’s more, this camera comes with a 5-year warranty, which is standard on all Concept Pro body, zoom and fixed dome cameras, exclusively available from Videcon.

Remote control operations are possible through RS-485 interface for focus and zoom control, using the VCP-WLESS (WIRELESS IR Remote Control).  The VCP-WLESS plugs into the back of the camera via RS-485 twisted pair data cable (Cat 5) to allow positioning of the zoom lens.  The RS-485 functions can be controlled by most DVRs, which utilise Pelco-D protocol.
