HID Global, a leading manufacturer in the access control industry, today announced that it would be exhibiting at ID World Milan 2006.  At the event, HID Global will demonstrate how to enhance the security of a card using features such as UV ink, micro fine printing, and holograms in order to help create a secure and personalised card for organizations of all sizes and backgrounds.  The company will also display its product range, including the award winning 13.56 MHz iCLASS® technology.

The event also marks an opportunity to introduce HID's recently appointed Business Development Card Services Manager, Keith Chapman, who will be responsible for managing all card services for the EMEA region.  With over 20 years experience in card manufacturing and personalisation, Chapman has extensive expertise in the banking, security and smart card industries.  Prior to joining the company, Chapman worked for Gemplus Ltd, where he played a leading roll in the UK Chip and PIN migration, as their Business Manger- Financial Payment Services.  He has also held a number of card related sales positions during his 10 year service with DataCard in the UK.

"As part of HID's strategy to provide products and services that meet the needs and expectations of our customers, we aim to deliver cutting edge card technology, such as highly secure pre-printed cards, with the latest security features and fast delivery times," said the new HID Global Business Development Card Services Manager.  "In my new role, I will be able to capitalise on my years of card industry knowledge to support the HID team and the various sales channels."
