Focus on growing market signals industry leader's commitment to the region

HID Global, a leading manufacturer in the access control industry, is pleased to introduce its newly expanded Latin American sales, marketing and support team.  The Latin American sales team of ten dedicated staff, headed by Humberto De la Vega, director of sales for Latin America and The Caribbean, extends HID Global's sales coverage throughout the region.

HID Global's expansion of sales staff is an indication of the strategic importance it places on this highly competitive region.  The company acknowledges that access control has never been more important in Latin America than it is today, and it will continue its unrivalled sales commitment to the region.

In response to this strategic commitment to the growing Latin American contactless smart card market, HID Global has increased its dedicated Latin American sales team to ten focused sales personnel; each highly trained and exceptionally qualified to provide localized coverage.  The new sales structure is designed to enhance customer service and promote sales growth in this key market.

In addition to expanding the sales personnel, HID Global has recently permanently appointed Ligia Apparicio to Latin America marketing manager, providing dedicated marketing support to the entire region.  With an extensive background in marketing communications, Ms. Apparicio speaks four languages, strengthening the company's promotional efforts in the region by offering full marketing support in local languages.

"HID has maintained a presence in the region since our start and we are committed to continuing to focus resources there.  We believe in the extremely large potential of the Latin America region and are investing in its future with a young and talented customer-oriented staff," said Mark Scaparro, HID Global's executive vice president of sales.  "We are here to stay."

"This skilled group of professionals looks forward to addressing the region's needs in a wide variety of access control and OEM application environments.  We will offer our existing and new customers unprecedented levels of service and support in the region," said Humberto De la Vega, director of sales for Latin America and The Caribbean.

  • Alejandro Espinosa Figueroa (Mexico and Central America)
  • Manuel Escobar Rodriguez (Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia)
  • Gustavo Gassmann (Brazil)
