iCLASS™ cards and readers also recognised as "Access Control Product of the Year".

HID Global, a leading manufacturer in the access control industry, today announced that it was named "Access Control Manufacturer of the Year" by the readers of Professional Security Installer (PSI) Magazine.  Additionally, the company's iCLASS line of cards and readers was named "Access Control Product of the Year" by the publication.

By honouring HID Global as "Access Control Manufacturer of the Year", PSI's readership acknowledged the company's commitment to excellence and customer service.  Readers also recognised the iCLASS range of cards and readers, validating HID Global's innovation and commitment to its 13.56Mhz contactless smart card platform, highlighted by the introduction of new products like the self contained R90 iCLASS Long Range reader and the low cost iCLASS clamshell card.

Hosted annually by PSI Magazine, the Premier Awards brings together the publication's readers including security installers, manufacturers and end users to select and honour outstanding security product manufacturers in recognition of product and customer service excellence.  The coveted award is seen as one of the industry's most prestigious because its recipients are both nominated and voted for by the publication's professional security installers.  The award was presented to HID Global on June 6, 2006 at the PSI Premier Golf Day held at Moor Park Golf Club, Hertfordshire.

"We have a great team at HID, with individuals who all recognise and strive for the achievement of customer satisfaction. HID is also very committed to its products and we are proud to receive the award for ‘Access Control Product of the Year' for iCLASS," said David Sullivan, Managing Director of HID.
