New Hi-Res flat-panel security monitors from Bosch

With their ergonomic, compact and aesthetically pleasing design, Bosch’s new MON150CL and MON170CL colour LCD flat-panel monitors are ideal for virtually any security application.

The MON150CL features a 15-inch 1024 x 768 pixel TFT Active Matrix LCD panel and has a resolution of 450 TV lines, while the MON170CL features a 17-inch 1280 x 1024 pixel TFT Active Matrix panel and a resolution of 500 TV lines.  This high resolution combined with slim outline – 64 mm for the MON150CL and 48 mm for the MON170CL – makes these monitors the top choice for large-screen, space-limited applications.  The LCD design uses long-life fluorescent backlights that eliminate the brightness degradation associated with aging CRT-type monitors.  Moreover, without the annoying flicker of CRT monitors, they can be used for longer periods with little or no eyestrain.  The monitors also consume 50% less power than conventional CRT monitors.


Each monitor features inputs for composite video, audio, and Y/C – and an analog VGA input to accommodate the use of PCs and digital video devices in security applications.  Adjusting display parameters is easy with the user-friendly on-screen menus (available in several languages) and front-panel controls.

Their versatile design allows the monitors to automatically accept PAL and NTSC signal formats, and power supply voltages from 100 to 240 V AC.  The units can, moreover be viewed in a variety of positions because of their wide range of viewing angles: 120 degrees horizontal and 100 degrees vertical for the MON150CL and 140 degrees horizontal and 130 degrees vertical for the MON170CL.
