The AIM-1SL provides reader interface. The AIM-1SL is connected, via multi-drop RS-485, to the AAM-20/80 and AAN-32/100 system controllers. With AAN series up to 32 readers may be connected and with AAN-100 up to 96 readers can be connected. The AIM-1SL has terminations for connection of one or two Wiegand interface readers. The AIM-1SL supports all major reader technologies including magnetic stripe, proximity, fingerprint, hand geometry, barcode, long range infrared, and others.
