The Panomera® V8 from Dallmeier has once again received a prestigious design award: at the Red Dot Award 2026, the multifocal sensor camera was honored with the highest distinction, “Best of the Best,” in the “Product Design” category.
After already winning the iF Design Award 2026, the Panomera® V8 has now also impressed the jury of the Red Dot Design Award. The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most internationally renowned competitions in the field of design. The competition looks back on a history spanning more than 70 years: since 1955, it has recognised products that stand out for their high design quality.
Multi-stage evaluation process
The Panomera® V8 from Dallmeier prevailed in a highly competitive field with numerous submissions from around the world in the “Product Design” discipline. At the core of the competition is the thorough evaluation by the independent Red Dot jury, composed of internationally experienced experts from various disciplines. They carefully examine all submissions in a multi-stage evaluation process and assess them based on key aspects of good design – including function, usability, responsibility, and aesthetic quality.
The “Red Dot: Best of the Best” is the highest distinction of the Red Dot Design Award – only the very best products in a category receive this quality label. It stands for groundbreaking design and outstanding product quality. During the evaluation process, the jury rates the awarded products using the so-called Red Dot Winner Points – with a maximum of 100 points. The Panomera® V8 achieved the top score of 100 Red Dot Winner Points.
