Athena Security announces the launch of its AI-enabled Weapons Detection Support Centre, a built-in operational capability that proactively identifies, diagnoses, and resolves system issues before they impact safety–even offline.
The new support centre continuously monitors an organisation’s weapons detection system and uses self-healing technology for common operational and connectivity issues in real time. This advancement helps eliminate the need for an organisation to manually create support tickets or troubleshoot critical security infrastructure. When automated resolution is not possible, the system instantly generates and routes a ticket directly to the Athena team for immediate action.
Fully functional offline mode

In the event of a network, database, or cloud connectivity disruption, Athena’s systems are designed to continue operating locally without interruption. If connectivity to a central system is lost, Athena’s platform automatically switches to a fully functional offline mode, with critical data cached locally on edge devices such as iPads until connectivity is restored. This ensures officers and staff are not distracted or disrupted during active security screening.
