India's cybersecurity industry is expected to reach $13.6 billion by 2025, spurred by an increasing need for digital security and cutting-edge technologies. In the first half of 2024, the nation saw a marked rise in cyberattacks, with a Microsoft report indicating that India represented 23% of cyber incidents in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This concerning figure places India among the top three countries most frequently targeted by nation-state actors, significantly impacting essential sectors such as government, technology, healthcare, banking, manufacturing, and consumer services.
