A MOBOTIX dual camera system can automatically switch from thermal sensor to optical sensor
MOBOTIX CORP, a leading provider of high-resolution and IP-based video security systems, is showcasing its latest solutions in booth #924 at ASIS 2015, which will be held September 28 – October 1, 2015 at Anaheim, CA. MOBOTIX will be showcasing the following products:
MOBOTIX thermal imaging technology – M15 and S15
MOBOTIX thermal camera systems support all features and functions like automatic recording or messaging, which can be triggered by any type of event. The weatherproof M15 or S15 thermal camera can be equipped with a 6MP colour optical sensor to simultaneously record thermal and normal videos. This weatherproof dual monitoring capability drastically expands its applications. The standard Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) compatibility and the market-leading low power consumption of only 5 watts of power consumption allows MOBOTIX thermal camera systems to operate in any situation.
With just one MOBOTIX thermal camera and no extra illumination, a huge outdoor area can be protected. The combination of thermal, video sensor and intelligent software-based motion detection like MxActivitySensor are perfectly suited to cover wide perimeter situations efficiently without any secondary equipment like IR-conventional light or additional sensors and to detect all relevant events in complete darkness. A thermal camera can guarantee perfect privacy in exclusive residential or public areas because the produced thermal image profile does not show any details for identification. This privacy feature will help increase the acceptance of video surveillance solutions in public and sensitive environments like pool areas, hospitality or sports facilities.
A MOBOTIX dual camera system can automatically switch from thermal sensor to optical sensor, producing visible high resolution video when a moving object is detected within a certain pre-defined area of interest. This unique MOBOTIX feature combines two aspects, first to ensure privacy during standard video monitoring, and secondly to provide full access to high resolution video in case of relevant or critical events like movement.
All MOBOTIX cameras are based on the decentralised concept. All recordings are stored on an internal micro SD card, or externally on a USB device or via the IP network on NAS hard drives. MOBOTIX camera networks support up to 10 times more cameras per server when compared to the central VMS-based recording used by competitors. Also, no additional computers or software are required for recording.
