Former detective, Rob King to lead Kings Security's Intelligence Service team

KIS has been developed to help identify crime hot-spots and profile criminal activity

Rob’s appointment comes on the back of a substantial investment in the latest version of its industry leading KIS platform

Former detective, Rob King has joined Bradford based Kings Security, the largest privately owned provider of security systems in the UK, to lead the rapidly growing Kings Intelligence Service (KIS) team.

Rob’s appointment comes on the back of a substantial investment in the latest version of its industry leading KIS platform, which aims to offer Kings Security clients a fuller intelligence cycle, by bringing multiple data sources together onto one platform.

Background

Rob takes up his role after moving from the Post Office, where he was Head of Security Operations for three years. He has over 30 years’ experience in intelligence, after serving 20 years at the Metropolitan Police Force as a detective and within the anti-corruption department. Rob also worked for the Jockey Club, leading anti-corruption within horse racing, before joining the William Hill estate.

KIS has been developed to help identify crime hot-spots and profile criminal activity by allowing users to analyse crime data such as; what time of day and week burglaries or shop thefts are happening and which security measures are most effective. Kings Security is now taking the next step to ‘closing the gap’ by collating dossiers of evidence to handover to local police forces.

Rob's role

Rob’s remit at Kings Security is to oversee the strategic delivery of KIS and to build on police engagement.

Rob explains: “As an industry, Kings has recognised that we need to step up. Due to budget cuts and restraints, low-level crime is something the police are less able to give time and attention to so we either let it happen, or we take the lead.”

“We want to work alongside and support the police and already have some high profile successes under our belt. Our aim is to use KIS to help close the gap between collecting our evidence and deliver a dossier of information to the police to help them make the arrest and bring the criminal to justice.”

Anthony King, Kings Security CEO, commented on the appointment, he said: “Rob is a brilliant addition to the team.

“The industry has to get smarter and learn to help ourselves, sharing data with competitors to help bring results. Our KIS platform can help play an instrumental part in developing and leading the way for the industry, so that we all operate in a much more informed and effective way.”
