Dahua Technology USA, a high-value, total security solutions provider, has released small but mighty newcomers to its Pro Series Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera line.

With a powerful 12x optical zoom, the compact, 2MP high-resolution PTZ camera provides 30fps@1080p and 60fps@720p, allowing operators to monitor wide scenes at high frame rates without losing details. Embedded with an IR cut filter for varying lighting conditions and industry-leading wide dynamic range (WDR) technology (120dB) to capture important details in scenes with both bright and dark areas, the camera provides excellent images at any time of day.

Intelligent video surveillance

The new Pro Series PTZ offerings provide a choice of either an indoor, in-ceiling (DH-SD42AC212TN-HN-(I)) model ideal for an aesthetic look on suspended ceilings or a surface mount model designed for easy installation on hard ceilings. It can also be pendant mounted (DH-SD42A212TN-HN-(I)) on a wall or a pipe with the proper mounting hardware. Both models offer optional Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS) with the ability to detect and analyse moving objects.

“These cameras have a small profile, but don’t be deceived by the word mini”

The surface mount PTZ models feature a durable IK10 rating, the highest level of impact energy, to protect the camera from vandalism, damage, and theft. Surface mount models feature an IP66 rated weather-proof housing for monitoring small to mid-size indoor/outdoor business applications. The camera’s aesthetic design and flexible mounting options allow unobtrusive surveillance of large areas that would otherwise require multiple cameras for effective surveillance.

Indoor and outdoor applications

“These cameras have a small profile, but don’t be deceived by the word ‘mini.’ They pack a powerful punch,” said Tim Wang, CEO, Dahua Technology USA. “I encourage visitors to stop by our booth 2241 at ASIS and learn more about these all-in-one solutions for capturing long distance video surveillance for indoor or outdoor applications.”

Optional built-in intelligent video analytics provide the ability to detect and analyse moving objects for improved video surveillance. The camera provides standard intelligence at the edge, allowing detection of multiple object behaviours, such as abandoned or missing objects.

All models can be powered by a IEEE 802.3at PoE+ switch or a 24 VAC power supply. The camera conforms to the ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) and PSIA (Physical Security Interoperability Alliance) specifications, ensuring interoperability between network video products regardless of manufacturer.
