IFSEC 2010 sees the unveiling of innovative CCTV solutions from Dedicated Micros
Integrated Camera Recording technology and a new encoder ICR unit will be launched at IFSEC

Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - will be underlining its position at the forefront of CCTV innovation at IFSEC 2010 in Birmingham from one impressive stand alongside AD Group's recently launched enterprise video arm, AD Network Video, so offering visitors a powerful showcase for the latest end-to-end surveillance systems based around a shared NetVu Connected core technology.

Key product advances being announced by Dedicated Micros at IFSEC 2010 include: the revolutionary Integrated Camera Recording (ICR) technology - which now features in the CamVu series of cameras and a new Encoder ICR unit; the launch of the Infiniti integrated PTZ camera that combines a camera and IR illuminator for low/zero light operation outdoors; the new compact DV-IP ATM Express for banking security; the increasingly popular EcoSense DVR, the new EcoSense NVR, SD Advanced Hybrid DVR, SD Advanced Excel, the CamVu Mini-Dome range - and, for the first time, Dedicated Micros' pure IP video solutions including the innovative IFSEC Awards Finalist, Closed IP TV.

The Integrated Recording (ICR) technology, embedded in products such as the CamVu series, brings together a megapixel or standard IP camera with a powerful enterprise class video server - all in one compact package - to deliver robust, failsafe recording and video management at the edge of the network. Dedicated Micros is unveiling the encoder ICR which supports network communication from any video input regardless of source or compression method. The industry-leading nature of the Encoder ICR means that it has already been selected as a finalist in the 'Communication Product' category of the prestigious IFSEC 2010 Security Industry Awards.

All the NetVu Connected products from Dedicated Micros on view at IFSEC 2010 are now able to leverage the benefits of sister company ChipWrights video DSP, the CW5631, which brings with it a programmable CODEC and the ability to run video analytics on chip. This powerful NetVu Connected architecture enables streaming in multiple formats, independently, offers polymorphic streams which dynamically switch from one compression algorithm to another mid-stream, and the ability to add enhanced capabilities such as multi-casting to third party streams.

Also at IFSEC 2010, Dedicated Micros will be launching the new Infiniti integrated PTZ camera unit. This is an extremely capable solution combining a camera, IR illuminator, integral screen wiper/washer control and built-in pan and tilt mechanism. It has been designed specifically for outdoor applications where optical clarity and low/zero light operation are key requirements. An exciting enhancement to this range includes a new Thermal Imaging Camera. The Infiniti "Thermal", extends the potential for the product to monitor much wider areas, with a range of up to 900m within which a human sized object can be detected, regardless of weather and lighting conditions. A key benefit of the Infiniti "Thermal" is its price vs. performance, making affordable thermal technology accessible to the security market, having traditionally resided in high-end military applications.

In addition, Dedicated Micros is to highlight the significant strengthening of its IP dome camera portfolio with the showcasing of its CamVu Mini-Dome range. The two key models, now available in the range, are the CamVu HyperDome and the CamVu Day/Night Mini-Dome which are suitable for deployment indoors and outdoors.

There will also be an opportunity for visitors to Dedicated Micros' stand to experience, at first hand, the user-friendly features of its EcoSense DVR and its latest innovation the EcoSense NVR (Network Video Recorder), a pure IP video product which provides plug and play IP camera connection and recording to installers without any prior IP network knowledge.

The SD Advanced hybrid DVR, which combines the benefits of being a DVR with the features of a high performance embedded NVR, has been enhanced by a new addition, the SD Advanced Excel which now offers real time D1 recording on every channel together with 16 channels of IP camera recording up to megapixel, HD resolution.

All new Dedicated Micros' DVR and embedded NVR products provide high performance recording, built in alarm handling and video transmission and feature the new colour-coded soft key menus and embedded help videos. The step-by-step audio/visual guides, accessible from the local and remote viewer, cover all major operation and configuration topics including: archiving, playback, camera selection, PTZ control, alarm configuration, monitor control and recording schedules.

Said Pauline Norstrom, Director of Worldwide Marketing at Dedicated Micros: "We believe that the range of CCTV solutions we plan to display at IFSEC 2010, from our Integrated Camera Recording (ICR) to our latest Closed IP TV innovations such as the EcoSense NVR, demonstrate our commitment to remain at the very forefront of surveillance technology and, crucially, to maximise our customers return on their investment."
