D-Link’s DGS-3420 series switches deliver security, flexibility and performance

D-Link has announced the launch of the DGS-3420 Series of xStack L2+ Managed Stackable Gigabit Switches, which deliver performance, flexibility, security and ease of management along with redundant power solutions to companies that require a high level of network functionality. The DGS-3420 Series of switches are designed with medium-sized businesses in mind, helping them to manage growth by easily stacking up to 12 units in a physical stack and controlling them as if they were a single, virtual switch, increasing network availability and reducing downtime.

With high Gigabit port densities, Gigabit SFP and 10-Gigbit SPF+ support, these switches offer unparalleled flexibility, and are easily deployed. Furthermore, they can be virtually stacked with any switch that supports D-Link’s Single IP Management to form a multi-level network structured with backbone and centralised high-speed servers. This means that no additional modules are needed to stack the switches once on the SFP platform – an important cost-saving feature.

It includes power saving through link status, reduced heat dissipation, smart fan design and cable length detection.
