Plustek and Axis to discuss benefits of IP video and mobile surveillance
Digital, network video surveillance system provides a host of benefits and advanced functionalities
Plustek Technology Inc., a provider of surveillance and imaging solutions, will host its a half-day seminar discussing IP video security and surveillance with network video specialists Axis Communications on Thursday 23rd September at Derby Hall, Nottingham University (9am - 1pm).

The digital, network video surveillance system provides a host of benefits and advanced functionalities that cannot be provided by an analogue CCTV system. The advantages include remote accessibility, high image quality, event management and intelligent video capabilities, easy integration possibilities and better scalability, flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

Improvements in technologies for recording and transmission have opened up several revenue opportunities for mobile video surveillance devices. Mobile video surveillance's growing popularity in security and non-security applications presents new opportunities for solution providers. The need for security in public transport systems will offer additional impetus for the uptake of mobile video surveillance technology.

At the event, which is supported by Security Media Publishing, attendees will gain a better understanding of current and future developments within the field of mobile IP video surveillance. On the day, Plustek and Axis will provide delegates with an in-depth appreciation of the type of solutions and approaches available to today's security market. All reference materials will be provided on the day along with product demonstrations if necessary.
