The SMT-1930 joins existing 22", 32" and 40" models in the Samsung SMT range in offering users the ability to view in 16:9 format the superb quality images which can be captured by the latest generation of HD megapixel cameras, such as Samsung's WiseNetI and WiseNetII DSP chipset models.
Utilising Samsung DNLe technology, which optimises colour reproduction and enhances contrast, the competitively priced SMT-1930 is designed for use in professional security systems and its compact size makes it ideal for applications where there might be limited space, such as in retail environments.
The SMT-1930, which has built-in speakers, has a display resolution of 1360 x 768. With a fast response time of 5ms, it offers a choice of BNC, DVI or HDMI inputs.
A multi-language on-screen display ensures easy set up, whilst a range of brackets is available to provide flexible mounting options. Wall, ceiling and vertical mounts can be achieved via standard VESA mounting points on the rear of the monitor, whilst a foot-stand equips the SMT-1930 to sit on a desktop.
"The SMT-1930 will make an extremely good partner for our recently launched SRN-470D four channel and SRN-1670D sixteen channel H.264 Network Video Recorders (NVRs) which benefit from a dedicated monitor output," said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. "For installers these recording solutions are very similar to fitting and commissioning a traditional Digital Video Recorder (DVR) solution but will allow users to take full advantage of the very high quality images captured by HD megapixel cameras with the ability to view live or recorded images over a network."
Available from Samsung distributors, the SMT-1930 is offered with full support services from Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd., including free system design, free technical support and a full three-year warranty.
