Published on 5 June, 2008

Octavian Security says 'Hola' to SpainGlobally-operating Octavian Security is taking its industry leading standards to Spain to help businesses in the country enhance their own offerings.

Octavian Seguridad, to be led by former US Army intelligence officer Ocie Eduardo Mathenia Golderos and Valencia University economics graduate, Jose Carlos Fuster, will operate initially from Alicante.

The Spanish operation, which will also open branches in Valencia, Murcia, and Barcelona, complements existing Octavian Security offices in the UK and Northern Ireland, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

It will provide manned security solutions to Spanish organisations, provide high-end security consultancy, close personal protection, anti-terrorist training and other specialist services.

Avi Pawar, director of Global Strategy for Octavian Security, part of the award-winning Octavian Group, commented:  "We want to take the high standards we have achieved in the UK, Middle East and elsewhere in Europe to Spain, and we believe that our services will enhance the offerings of Spanish firms to further increase their competitiveness when bidding for worldwide contracts, such as those in the US."

Pawar adds: "We are currently in negotiations with a number of organisations and we are launching a targeted recruitment drive to ensure we hire the right calibre of officer."

Octavian's worldwide client base includes Prologis, DHL, The BBC, Sky TV, The Ryder Cup, some sections of the British Government and fuel distribution conglomerates.

The company is currently the UK market leader in outside broadcast security and a pioneer in logistics, distribution and warehousing, and the professional and financial services markets.  It is renowned in the UK for its efforts to change the face of the security market, seeking to advance and maintain levels of professionalism, discipline and officer development previously unseen in the UK market.
