Traka will launch it's Touch lockers and Traka Touch S-series at IFSEC 2011
Following the successful introduction of Traka Touch key management last year, Traka plc will be launching two new products at IFSEC 2011 - Traka Touch S-Series and Traka Touch Lockers. Visitors to stand 4/D55 will see demonstrations of the company's most exciting product development to date.

This innovative technology, first developed for key management in the M-Series - a very successful groundbreaking forerunner of the Traka Touch - has been implemented by a leading supermarket chain and is now installed in more than 360 stores throughout the UK.

Traka Touch operates with the latest Windows embedded-processing technology. Systems include a full-colour 7" touch screen; embedded Windows CE and SQL server database; and a solid state memory holding over 250,000 events - all supported by a voice-synthesised help facility. Everything needed to install and run this state-of-the-art system is integral to each unit so it simply requires power to become a fully functioning system. This ‘plug and play' solution requires no connection to an IT network and no server is required to manage the database. The internal solid state memory and memory card ensure users instantly retain audit capability for all key transactions.

It has full reporting function enabling transaction reports to be displayed on the screen, showing information such as who accessed a key or asset and when it was returned. By inserting a USB memory stick, reports can be exported ready for printing or use on a PC. Automatic data back-up to a removable SD card protects the records held on the key cabinet or locker whilst an automatic battery back-up, with a soft close-down in the event of battery drain, ensures no loss of data.

"When we debuted Traka Touch for key management last year we were delighted with the feedback from the marketplace," says Robert Smith, Managing Director of Traka. "Its simple yet effective solution was recognised and the system has proved to be enormously popular. We have now extended the range with the new Traka Touch intelligent locker and we're confident that, using the same formula, it will also prove to be a great success."

Each system has been developed with the quality and attention to detail that is synonymous with the Traka name. Traka intelligent lockers are ideal for controlling staff access to important and valuable portable equipment. These lockers are widely used by the UK emergency services to manage and audit the use of airwave radios, laptops, PDAs and similar shared resources. Unique RFID tagging registers when a piece of equipment is taken and returned, and by which user. A comprehensive audit of equipment usage is maintained to provide traceability, accountability and responsibility. Ultimately, this results in less damage, fewer losses and significantly reduced operating costs.

Traka staff will be available on the company's stand D55 Hall 4 at IFSEC 2011 to offer assistance and advice on the company's range of comprehensive systems for managing keys and assets.
