Bosch GVS1000 delivers long-range surveillance at Atizapan de Zaragoza, Mexico
Long-range capabilities help officials resolve crimes with irrefutable video evidence – including facial identification of criminals
Bosch GVS1000 long-range surveillance gives emergency personnel faster access to crucial information

Atizapan de Zaragoza is one of the 125 municipalities in central Mexico and is part of the Metropolitan Zone of Mexico City. It lies at an average altitude of 2400 metres and covers 94.83 square kilometres. Atizapan City Council faced a shortage of personnel for overseeing activities on major roadways, at intersections and in mall parking lots, as well as other areas. In addition, a percentage of the city’s 472,526 inhabitants live in the hills with limited roads where traffic jams are common. This environment complicates access for emergency personnel during security events.

Problem: terrain and staffing challenges make city monitoring difficult

  • Atizapan City Council faced a staffing shortage for overseeing security of the municipality
  • Access to the city’s elevated areas is slow due to a limited number of overused roads
  • Mountains and hills pose a challenge for many security cameras

Solution: Bosch GVS1000 delivers long-range surveillance

  • Imaging system provides full Detection, Classification, Recognition and Identification capabilities for video evidence of crimes
  • Long-range surveillance gives emergency personnel faster access to crucial information
  • High quality images allow city staff to view scenes at long distances even in complete darkness

Results: clear images near and far in day and dark

  • Long-range capabilities help officials resolve crimes with irrefutable video evidence – including facial identification of criminals
  • Crisp images up to 6 km away during the day and 1.2 km away at night allow for faster response of mobile emergency units
  • Elevated installation on a tower and on a water storage tank provide a direct line of sight into hilly areas
