DVTEL’s Meridian Integrated Network Video Recorder  (NVR) System delivers HD quality and dramatically reduces the cost of deploying megapixel video applications while enabling installers to set up an IP video system in the same time as required for a traditional DVR and analog cameras. The integrated system includes a built-in PoE switch, a hard disk for video recording and the client application.

The 4- and 16-port Meridian single device NVR appliances combine the functions  of a network video recorder, high-powered PoE enabled Ethernet switch, and  video management software with automatic setup features. Meridian provides  power (high PoE), automatically assigns IP addresses, configures cameras for motion detection, and instantly begins recording without any need for operator  involvement. For single site installations, there is no need for installers to source switches, routers, software and servers. Multiple Meridian units can be set up within
a network to build a large system over long distances with fiber optics through the built-in SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) transceiver combo uplink ports.
