NVT Ethernet Over Coax EoC Transceiver
NVT Ethernet Over Coax EoC Transceiver

Network Video Technologies (NVT) has released a new Ethernet over Coax solution positioned to support coax-based legacy CCTV installations that are migrating to IP. The Model NV-EC1701 Ethernet over Coax EoC Transceiver is a compact media converter that allows 10/100 BaseT Ethernet and PoE power to be transmitted up to 2,500 ft (750 m) using new or existing coax cable. Transceivers may be linked together using BNC "T" adaptors, forming a bus-architected network that supports up to (4) EoC transceivers and IP/Megapixel cameras.48VDC class 2 power is delivered to one transceiver, which distributes PoE to up to four remote transceivers, and their IP/PoE cameras, or other devices. Camera loads of up to 45 watts are supported. These devices are quick to install, simple to use and network transparent, with no transceiver IP or MAC address configuration required. Three status LEDs indicate power, link, and activity for its RJ45 and coax ports."With the introduction of the NVT EoC product, we are providing our customers with a cost-effective opportunity to deploy IP cameras over installed coax cable, at distances and power levels well above conventional PoE." says Guy Apple, NVT's Marketing VP. "Our advanced transmission and power technology provides ultra-robust full-duplex connectivity for all IP cameras, including megapixel, affording an easy transition to IP."As with all NVT products, the NV-EC1701 is covered by a limited lifetime warranty, and are UL and cUL listed, and CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant. They are also backed by NVT's award winning customer service.

Network Video Technologies introduces its StubEQ Active Receiver Hubs

Joining Network Video Technologies' (NVT) comprehensive range of UTP Hybrid Video™ transmission products, is a new range of StubEQTM Active Receiver Hubs that combine savings on valuable equipment racking space with NVT's revolutionary Digital EQTM technology. The 1U tall 19" rack-mount StubEQTM Active Receiver Hubs are just 2" deep, and provide the transmission of real-time camera video at distances up to 600m using Cat5 UTP cable and an NV-653T Active Transmitter. Available in 8 (NV-842), 16 (NV-1642) and 32-channel (NV-3242) versions, the new StubEQTM hubs continuously and automatically compensate for cable attenuation and ground loops, independent of video signal image - meaning no video equalisation adjustments are necessary, saving valuable installation time and associated costs. As with all NVT products, the new additions provide unparalleled interference rejection and ground loop isolation, allow video and low-voltage power to coexist within the same single 4-pair cable, carry a Lifetime Warranty, and are UL and cUL listed, and CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant. Each StubEQTM Hub includes rack-mount hardware and RJ45-to-screw terminal adaptors for easy RJ45 termination.Steve Proctor, NVT's Sales Director commented: "Our expanded range of innovative UTP Hybrid VideoTM transmission products, now including the new StubEQTM Active Receiver Hubs, offers installers and specifiers an unparalleled choice of high-performance, cost-effective video transmission solutions. The deployment of NVT Digital EQTM products is yielding significant savings, superior image quality and consistency of interference free camera video in surveillance systems across the globe."
