Employees at Kings Security are celebrating following a year of personal achievement. Over 60 employees have achieved qualifications whilst working for the Bradford based security firm and numerous staff have been singled out in national awards.
During 2016, over 150 individuals passed through Kings Training Academy where employees undertook training in seven different modules including health and safety, customer service, fire awareness, first aid, ISO 27001, project griffin and manual handling. Numerous qualifications, including NVQs and CSMP were also completed with approximately 60 staff achieving NVQ level 2 in Electronic Security and Emergency Systems and 20 graduating at Level 3. Several also achieved NVQ Level 3 in Management.
Commitment to training and improvement
Jacob Telemacque, Fleet Manager, benefited significantly from King’s commitment to training and improvement, recently receiving highly commended for Most Improved Commercial Fleet of the Year at the Fleet Awards held in London last month.
Jacob who grew up in Bradford, joined Kings Security as an apprentice in November 2012, aged 18. After leaving school with no qualifications at the age of 15, Jacob started as a Kings Apprentice Fleet Assistant, dealing with fines and penalty charge notices, speed alerts and general admin duties.
He joined the Kings Apprentice programme and after only 18 months had completed his NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration. With a hardworking, positive attitude Jacob benefited from continued training and mentoring from Kings senior staff, enabling him to rise through the ranks swiftly, becoming Fleet Manager at only 21 years old.
Personal growth
Jacob Telemacque said, “Working at Kings has had such a positive impact on me. With continued support and the ability to take additional qualifications I have been able to make career choices I never thought I would. I take great pride in my role and aspire have my own team to manage in time.”
Today Jacob manages a fleet of over 330 vehicles and has taken on his own apprentice, as well as finding the time to re-write the Kings Fleet Handbook.
