Gallagher Security access systems
Data Security, easy configuration & language translations is access control software that offers industry-leading data protection between the Gallagher Command Centre and Controllers, using up to 256-bit AES encryption. It is easy to install, user-friendly and intuitive.
With Gallagher Command Centre, the number of workstations or operators is limitless. Operators are subject to system division and are assigned privileges so they can only carry out authorised functions or view content defined for them. A site can be split into divisions and sub-divsions by system division (or partitioning). This is particularly suited to: Multi-tenanted buildings where tenants manage and monitor their own security. Large enterprise-wide systems where it is more practical to divide the site – by geographic zones for example – for ongoing management and monitoring. Site plans are a graphical representation of the site and show the real-time status of remote field devices and logical entities. They display visually rich, configurable elements such as fence lines and buildings with associated alarms and can be used for general site or alarm monitoring and management. Site plans feature touch-screen support and ‘free text’ objects. An unlimited number of site plans can be stored in the system.
Access management can be based on individual competencies allowing business to effectively manage compliance with business policy and government regulations. Access management can be based on individual competencies such as: Safety - is the employee inducted, trained, licensed and fit for work?Equipment - does the employee have the right vehicles or safety equipment?Security - does the employee have the right clearance?Regulatory compliance - are there other requirements the employee has to meet? The platform can also take account of validity periods and competence expiry. Access decisions are delivered to the individual instantly by the door reader or display monitor or via SMS.
The Gallagher Intercom HLI enables digital intercom systems to be integrated into the Gallagher access system. This allows intercom functionality and related intercom alarms and events to be supported through the Gallagher Command Centre graphical user interface by Gallagher operators. Multiple intercom systems can be supported in the Gallagher system. For each intercom system, individual intercom units are uniquely identified. The Gallagher system becomes the user interface to control calls for the intercom system. The audio communications remain within the originating intercom system.
Gallagher Challenge provides an additional tier of security for businesses or areas where a higher level of security is required. Gallagher Challenge enables an operator to double-check cardholders’ identities as they pass through a door by providing a visual comparison of the cardholder’s image from their record and their live image or one provided via video. Features include: Fully integrated with video systemsAn inbuilt screen designer allowing sites to select the specific information displayed to the Challenge operatorAllows flexible queue management of Challenge events across single or multiple workstations
The Gallagher video interface provides the ability to connect to third party systems providing integration of key operations for video and alarms management. An integrated video solution links visual records to events in Gallagher Command Centre. Recalling a specific event allows associated stored video images to be immediately retrieved. Live video can be fully integrated with site monitoring screen layouts enabling configurable, localized monitoring and control panels to include cameras, site plans, status, guard tours and filtered event trails.
The Cardholder Change Tracking API enables a third party application to retrieve properties from the Gallagher Command Centre database. The query polls the Command Centre database and, if a change has occurred to a cardholder's properties since the previous poll, the query will retrieve the cardholder's current properties. This API is used when Command Centre is the source of truth. Your HR or IT system will be updated to reflect the changes made in Command Centre. Updates include changes to a cardholder's personal details, card assignments or access group assignments.
Gallagher's Prepay Car Parking feature allows you to bring the revenue from your site's car parking facilities directly back to your business. Third party car parking vendors often take a large portion of each transaction as a fee, but with Gallagher's solution, you don't miss out. Staff, students, contractors, or frequent visitors can all use their existing access cards to gain entry to a car park, and their credit total within Command Centre is automatically adjusted to reflect their purchase for the week/day/hour. Additionally, via Gallagher's Cardholder REST API a website can be built to allow cardholders to purchase their credits and check their balances online from anywhere. Their account within Command Centre will then be updated to reflect the purchase. Users can also be notified that their accounts are getting low via emails or SMS messaging.
Gallagher elevator integrations control access to floors with a high level interface (HLI) between an elevator system and Command Centre. An HLI achieves intelligent elevator control without relying on the excessive user interaction that a low level interface requires. Gallagher supports all leading elevator manufacturers. Gallagher’s bidirectional Microsoft Active Directory Cardholder Sync enables Active Directory user records to be replicated through to Gallagher Command Centre cardholder records. This includes creation, modification and deletion of both user details and access permissions. Additionally, changes to cardholder details and images within Command Centre can be replicated out to Active Directory or a file share location. Combining the power of both the Cardholder REST API and Cardholder Change Tracking API, the Active Directory Cardholder Sync is packaged in a single installer, and is fully configurable to suit the Active Directory structure of your organization.
Simplify and automate operator logon to Command Centre or Visitor Management applications. Command Centre can take advantage of the inherent capabilities of Microsoft® Active Directory password management, such as enforced expiry dates and password complexity for Command Centre logon. Password policies set by the IT department via Active Directory can now be effectively inherited by Command Centre. Command Centre also supports the ability for the system to automatically log an operator in to Command Centre when the application is launched using their Windows logon and password validated at logon via Active Directory.
IP-based encrypted network communications between Command Centre and Controllers ensure your data is secure. Distributed intelligence and data storage allow for continued operation of access control and alarms management in the event of a network communication failure on site. Gallagher Controllers are capable of buffering events which are then automatically sent to Command Centre when communications are re-established.
Gallagher’s solution allows sites to monitor the time cardholders are spending within designated areas, create alarms, deliver notifications, and to automatically record events for reporting. Features include: Alarms when a cardholder is in a zone too long Alarms when a cardholder has not spent enough time offsite Alarms when a cardholder has spent too long onsite cumulatively (weeks or months) Immediate notifications to supervisors (text message or email) for instant action Automatic access control (access privilege removed at the end of a shift) An audit trail for reporting.
Send secure, targeted alerts and updates to specific groups in real-time. Communicate quickly and accurately to all cardholders during emergencies. Ensure authenticity and trust with customised templates, and the Mobile Connect App. Configure both static and dynamic recipient groups. Save time and reduce the risk of human error with automated Broadcast Notifications. Immediately identify and report on successful or failed to send notifications
Gallagher's fully integrated Locker Management Solution allows a site to manage locker access, automate allocation, and ensure the best utilization of their locker resources all natively from within Command Centre. Flexible allocation times and a dynamic locker viewer combine to make agile locker use a reality for the modern business.
Gallagher Command Centre server and Controller Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) extend the functionality and flexibility of the Gallagher system as the platform for integration. The Gallagher Controller API is the solution, allowing for events to be sent to and received from third parties such as video, duress, building management, external alarm and fire alarm systems.

Replicates data maintained in a primary database (e.g. human resources database) in the Gallagher database. Allows migration of existing cardholder details from an obsolete security system over to the Gallagher system. Enables mapping of existing employee fields (e.g. personal details, group memberships, licenses etc.) to their Gallagher Command Centre equivalent (e.g. personal data fields, access groups, competencies etc). Allows mapping between systems of 1:1 or 1:many relationships Allows third party data used in the external system to be translated to more meaningful descriptions on import to the Gallagher system. Provides manual one-off migrations of cardholder data to the Gallagher database and/or automatically updates when triggered by changes made in a primary employee database.
Import cardholder data, photos and access rights from third-party systems using flexible XML interfaces or the simple data mapping tool found within the Enterprise Data Import module. Assign access rights based on the type of day, time of day, area being accessed, validity of the cardholder token and any relevant competencies the cardholder possesses (such as training, licenses, inductions or medical clearances). Access changes are immediately and automatically downloaded to the controllers. Manage cardholder details, view recent cardholder events and track card replacement history. Perform bulk updates of cardholder information, such as a change in department. Design card layouts, and print and encode photo ID cards. Tailor screen layouts for the cardholder management team. Find cardholders in the system via access card presentation, text entry or multi-statement search criteria. Integrate intranet, web or network-based cardholder information directly to Command Centre via in-built browser capability. The integration of access control and intruder alarms allow a person with correct permissions to access a door as well as disarm an associated intruder alarm zone on entry, without requiring a separate keypad.
Retrieve and report on stored information including events, alarms, cardholders, cardholder location, resource utilization, and site items. Configure reports to run on a repeating schedule or in response to events such as a fire alarm. Schedule the generation of reports and email automatically to recipients. Access reports easily through a ‘find reports’ viewer or ‘favorites’ list within Command Centre. Filter report content using parameters such as competency status, card type and cardholder’s last entered zone. Configure the report page layout and file output type (.doc, .xls, .pdf or .csv). Report on visitor data (when used with optional visitor management tools). View additional reports, including evacuation, access, time and contextual reporting. Report on security events from an individual server, or from multiple servers within a multi-server network.
Gallagher’s Action on Access solution allows a badge at a nominated reader to enable or disable access (card, competency, or access group membership) immediately or in the future, providing the ability to set sophisticated access rules using simple actions.
Software Maintenance ensures you receive regular software updates, giving you access to the most recent enhancements, features, and improved functionality the Gallagher Command Centre security platform has to offer. Having the latest software reduces your cyber risk, enhances system performance and guarantees continued compliance with government standards.
Monitoring and alarm management all on a single screen. Operational state and alarm state displayed for site items. Change the state of an item, (i.e. change access mode, open door, arm or disarm). Run a pre-configured report or reports from a selected site item, (i.e. view the cardholders that passed through a door, or any event activity or statistics for the item). View footage from one or more cameras associated with a site item. View live footage or footage in response to an alarm. Panning and zooming provides improved navigation around larger site plans. Operators have the ability to search for items on a site plan, or navigate directly to items in alarm. The flexibility in configuration allows for minimising clutter (*not just clutter but superfluous information/overrides), working alongside the privilege model means operators won’t be distracted with options that are not configured or they do not have the authority to use.
