Honeywell Security Solution provided to Eon Productions

James Bond movie producers' new system includes intruder, CCTV and access control

Honeywell today announced that it's providing an integrated security solution as part of a new installation at the head office of Eon Productions - home of the iconic James Bond movies.

The busy London office will be secured with a WIN-PAK PROTM proximity access control system, the Fusion Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and Galaxy intruder alarm that restrict access at the main doors as well as on each of the six floors in the grade II-listed building.  NACOSS Gold security firm West London Security (WLS) designed installed and maintains the new security system.  WLS was challenged to carry out the installation with minimal disruption to the fixtures and décor.  In addition to CCTV and an intruder alarm system, WLS specified access control with a dedicated site code and number range.

"Honeywell is our partner of choice, because of the flexibility and performance of WIN-PAK and the Fusion DVR, which is an outstanding piece of kit."  Jason Jeffery, Director of West London Security commented.  "It gives Eon Productions greater security that they can monitor and control themselves."

All main doors are kept locked and staff use proximity access control cards to gain entry to authorised areas.  CCTV cameras have been positioned to monitor activities around the perimeter of the building and all secured areas.  WLS recommended and installed the WIN-PAK PRO server, combined with the Honeywell Fusion DVR which records all cameras in real-time on the hard drive.

Using a web browser, Eon's John Roebuck can monitor images from the CCTV cameras using Fusion DVR software and recordings can be played back within seconds, also via the web browser.  CCTV has been employed as a deterrent, as well as to provide vital evidence for any incidents, and as Roebuck said, " make our staff feel more secure."

The CCTV provides additional security whenever a visitor calls at the main entrance - during or after office working hours; staff can see the visitor using the web browser and activate the door opener to let them in - or refuse entry, all from their PC.  John Roebuck adds, "West London Security provided us with a solution that matched our exact requirements, delivered on time and to budget.  We couldn't have asked for anything more."

Alan Samuels, MD Honeywell Systems Group EMEA comments, "We are delighted to work with West London Security and be a major part of the security solution for Eon Productions.  Win- Pak is a versatile and powerful solution, designed to combine all disciplines of security protection with "no compromise reliability."
