Grandstream and Digifort coupling leads to IP surveillance solutions becoming affordable to medium-sized businesses
Grandstream’s IP surveillance solutions enter the Brazilian market thanks to a tie-up with Digifort and WDC
Grandstream and Digifort announced interoperability between their surveillance products and VMS respectively
Grandstream Networks, the leading manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony and video surveillance solutions, and Brazilian-based Digifort, a dominant market leader in IP video surveillance monitoring solutions, announced completion of interoperability testing between Grandstream's complete line of video surveillance products including the GXV36xx Series IP cameras and GXV35xx digital video servers and Digifort's new 6.3 Video Management Software (VMS). Conducted in conjunction with WDC Networks, an authorised Grandstream distributor located in Brazil, this interoperability reinforces the importance of embracing open IP standards to deliver comprehensive surveillance and physical security solutions affordable to small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

According to Vanderlei Rigatieri CEO of WDC Networks: "The Grandstream and Digifort solution brings a unique vantage point to the video surveillance market. It opens up tremendous opportunity in Brazil to capture the growing demand from customers for a high performance and low-cost surveillance solution." He added: "We anticipate the combined Grandstream and Digifort solution as catalysing a mass market movement from CCTV analogue market to IP-CCTV."

Digifort's IP video software coupled with Grandstream's IP cameras deliver cost-effective, easy to manage physical security solution

"With the market expansion of IP video surveillance and the pressures to control end user costs, company's are now more than ever seeking best solutions at a price they can afford," said Carlos Eduardo Bonilha, President of Digifort. "The market is ready for complete physical security solutions that provides automation and access control with management of cameras as well as record the images for later selective search and retrieval."

All of Grandstream's IP video surveillance products support H.264 real-time video compression for the highest image clarity in any high definition/low light condition. The entire product line is based on VoIP/SIP industry standards that offer SMBs the unique advantage to converge video surveillance with voice communication applications. End users can reduce the cost and time associated with installing surveillance systems while achieving a greater level of functionality and flexibility for remote video monitoring/control. Business owners, for example, can stream all monitoring activity to a mobile or video phone, from anywhere in the world, using the Grandstream's 2-way audio and video streaming capability.

Live video feeds from Grandstream's surveillance cameras can also be routed through Grandstream's GXE502x IP PBX and streamed onto Grandstream's IP video endpoints like the GXV3140.

Digifort's VMS integrates the most powerful resources for managing and monitoring IP cameras, video servers and alarm control systems

"We are pleased to have successfully completed our interoperability testing with Digifort and look forward to moving ahead with delivering Grandstream solutions in Brazil," said David Li, CEO of Grandstream. "The integration between our products will allow our mutual customers and the SMB marketplace to realise the benefits of using a hybrid SIP/VoIP video surveillance solution to enhance the protection of people and assets while lowering their costs."

Digifort's Video Monitoring software (VMS) integrates the most powerful resources for managing and monitoring IP cameras, video servers and alarm controls systems (via in/out panels). It recently launched API allowing easy integration with other systems such as biometric systems, access control, ERP, Google Earth and others delivering a highly intelligent overall solution. The VMS solutions are available in Explorer, Professional, Enterprise and Standard versions with integration of intelligent synoptic map engine, virtual matrix, mobile terminal access, video analytics, archiving engines, NVR, event scheduling and more, in client-server architecture.
