Pirean, security software system integrator, gains the title of the world's most certified IBM Tivoli Partner
Security software system integrator, Pirean, gets maximum IBM Tivoli Partner certifications
Pirean holds 13 of IBM's A, AA and AAA Tivoli accreditations spanning security and IT service delivery
Pirean, a leading delivery partner for IT security and service management, has become the world's most certified IBM Tivoli Partner after an aggressive 18 month period of investment in training and certification across their Consulting and Managed Services business.

According to Marti Lombardi, IBM Tivoli Technical Business Partner Enablement Manager: "As of the end of March 2010, Pirean is the most accredited Tivoli business partner in the world, based on the Tivoli Deployment Accreditation initiative that IBM Tivoli uses to assess the levels of expertise held within the company."

With offices in London, Fareham and Boston, Pirean holds 13 of IBM's A, AA and AAA Tivoli accreditations spanning security and IT service delivery. Pirean is the first and only European Partner to hold IBM Tivoli AAA status, the highest authorised level, across both IT service and security management.

"Over the past 18 months we have invested considerably in supporting IBM in the AAA accreditation programme. When you consider the challenges faced everyday when managing complex IT estates, we always encourage customers to assess every delivery partner on their reputation, experience, public references and qualifications. The benefit of this most recent achievement is that we always knew we had the most qualified team of specialists in the industry, but formal recognition from IBM just adds an additional level of prestige," explains Stuart Wilson, MD of Pirean, "While obviously proud of our expertise across the IBM Tivoli technology we will continue to invest in skills across our European and US operations - after all, the continual investment we make in training and certification gives us a demonstrable edge in delivering innovative solutions to clients across the world."

Pirean has an established client base which includes several of the world's largest financial services providers and 4 out of the top 5 high street banks in the UK. Projects for organisations which range from Aviva and Oxfordshire County Council to IBM themselves have been highly praised and earned recognition from IBM in the form of the 2010 ‘Business Partner Service Management Solution Award', an IBM Tivoli Business Partner Innovation Award in 2008 and a Finalist within the Outstanding Service Management Tivoli Solution category in 2009.

"Some system integrators try to be all things to all men but that is not a route we have taken," comments Neil Newman, Pirean's CIO. "In the IBM Tivoli space, we are striving to become the benchmark for best of breed."

Pirean's investment in training and certification delivers unrivalled surveillance capabilities to growing client community

Pirean has also recently launched two new products built to compliment customers who have invested in IBM Tivoli technology. The first is Compliance:One, an advanced Identity and Access Management solution built on Tivoli Identity Manager and designed in conjunction with a major UK financial institution to offer Continuous Controls Monitoring.

In April, Pirean will launch Access:One, a secure access management platform for Web applications to allow organisations to create a unified and policy driven access control framework for web applications that reside within the firewall, externally hosted and out in the cloud.

"We will continue to invest in training and certification while accelerating our commitment to deliver innovative platforms that extend the value and flexibility of IBM Tivoli infrastructures used by many of our clients," explains Wilson. "New directions like cloud computing and virtualisation offer a great deal of potential to reduce cost and complexity. As an organisation, we believe, that only through a deep understanding of the technology and business drivers can we help our clients realise more benefits."
