DVTEL’s Meridian Network Video Recorder, a plug-and-play networked recording appliance that practically self-installs, enables dramatic cost and complexity reductions in megapixel video deployments. Available in 4- and 16-port versions, the Meridian NVR combines the functions of a traditional NVR with a high-powered PoE Ethernet switch and video management software that offers automatic setup features. Meridian automatically assigns IP addresses, configures cameras for motion detection and instantly begins recording without any need for operator involvement.
For single site installations, there is no need for installers to source switches, routers, software and servers. Multiple Meridian units can be set up within a network to build a large system over long distances with fiber optics through the built-in SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) transceiver combo uplink ports.
The easy-to-use Meridian VMS software offers digital zoom, camera tours, motorized lens control and smart video searches to quickly retrieve recorded events through thumbnail and event searches. Automatic updates offering new software features are accessible over the Web.
