Teledyne Technologies Incorporated has finalised its acquisition of TransponderTech from Saab AB.
This addition, now operating as Teledyne FLIR TransponderTech AB, will enhance the maritime technology offerings of Teledyne’s Raymarine, FLIR Marine, ChartWorld, and Teledyne CARIS brands.

Headquartered near Linköping, Sweden, FLIR TransponderTech will continue to market its existing line of Automatic Identification System (AIS), VHF Data Exchange System (VDES), and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) solutions.
The company remains committed to developing advanced maritime communication products for various sectors, including civil and military shipping, marine traffic, and even aerospace applications.
Positioning for future growth
With the acquisition, FLIR TransponderTech is poised to further its role in crafting innovative communication tools for a diverse clientele, spanning from commercial shipping to military uses in both terrestrial and airborne sectors.
