The Board of Directors at TE Connectivity plc, a prominent entity in connectors and sensors, has announced the appointment of Ken Washington to its board. This appointment will take effect on 17 November 2025.
"We are very pleased to have Dr. Washington join as a new director to TE's board," stated TE Connectivity Chairman - John Davidson.
He highlighted Washington's extensive expertise in leading technology advancements for multinational companies, which is expected to benefit TE as it continues to push forward innovations for its industrial and transportation clientele.
Ken Washington’s professional background
Dr. Washington is concluding his career at Medtronic plc this month, where he has held the position of senior vice president, chief technology & innovation officer since 2023. Before his role at Medtronic, he was vice president of software engineering, consumer robotics at Amazon Lab126 from 2021 to 2023.
His career also includes a tenure as chief technology officer at Ford Motor Company, serving from 2017 until 2021, following various technical roles at Ford between 2014 and 2017.
From 2007 to 2014, Washington was part of Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he served as vice president of the advanced technology centre and became the first chief privacy officer. Prior to his time there, he spent 21 years with Sandia National Laboratories, where his positions included chief information officer. Dr. Washington holds a bachelor's, master's, and doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University.
