Suprema has announced a remarkable achievement for its Q-Vision Pro, which has secured the "Best Product (First Prize)" accolade in the Internet of Things (IoT) Security category at the 25th Detektor International Awards. This prestigious event took place during the Sectech Expo 2025, recognised as the largest security exhibition in the Nordic region, held in Stockholm, Sweden from 14–15 October.
This commendation underscores Suprema's expanding influence in Northern Europe, an area renowned for its stringent data protection and security innovation standards. The award at the Nordic region’s prominent security exhibition further solidifies Suprema’s partnerships with European enterprises aiming for advanced AI-driven and compliance-focused security solutions.
AI video analytics module
The Q-Vision Pro is capable of real-time detection of dangerous objects, like weapons, at ATMs
The Q-Vision Pro has been acknowledged for its innovation and technical prowess, particularly in financial crime prevention. It operates as a standalone AI video analytics module, targeting crimes such as voice phishing and ATM fraud.
Powered by its own AI architecture, the system employs Suprema’s proprietary AI-based facial recognition and object detection algorithms directly at the device level, thereby enhancing performance within embedded system settings.
The Q-Vision Pro is capable of real-time detection of dangerous objects, such as weapons, at ATMs and critical sites. It also assesses abnormal behaviours, including suspicious phone activity, and can identify multiple faces, mask usage, and attempts at facial spoofing. This enables swift and proactive responses to potential incidents.
How AI innovation enables intelligent security
A representative from the Detektor International Awards jury stated, "With its embedded AI module to predict and prevent financial crimes at ATMs in real time, Q-Vision Pro marks a new milestone for Suprema. The combination of facial authentication, behavioural analysis, and robust encryption makes it a truly winning concept."
President of Solution Business at Suprema Inc., Bong-Seop Song, expressed gratitude, stating, “We are deeply honoured to receive such meaningful recognition. Q-Vision Pro is a leading example of how AI innovation enables intelligent security to go beyond monitoring, actively preventing financial fraud and physical crimes before they occur. This award reaffirms Suprema’s vision and technical strength in predictive AI-based security.”
Detektor Editorial Board
The Detektor International Awards, facilitated by Detektor International Magazine in partnership with AR Media International, celebrate innovative security products across four main categories: IoT Security, Alarm & Detection, ID & Access Control, and Video Surveillance. The awards are esteemed for their independence and credibility, as manufacturers do not apply directly, and winners are selected via an impartial evaluation by the Detektor editorial board, which includes experts from the European security sector.
This accolade marks Suprema's sixth win at the Detektor International Awards, following previous successes in 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, and 2022. Furthermore, Q-Vision Pro was named "Best of Innovation" at CES 2025, highlighting Suprema’s standing as a global authority in predictive AI-based security technologies.
