SaaS Alerts has announced new support for IT Glue, unveiling its latest integration at the Kaseya ConnectIT event held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This development seems poised to broaden SaaS Alerts' base of managed service provider (MSP) partners. As the first MSP-focused documentation company to receive such third-party monitoring, IT Glue is expected to strengthen its market position significantly. Wilmington, NC-based startup SaaS Alerts specialises in providing a Software as a Service (SaaS) monitoring and alerting solution tailored for the MSP market. Kaseya, which acquired IT Glue in 2018, is hosting the event.
Third-Party Monitoring Service
According to Jim Lippie, CEO of SaaS Alerts, the new support for IT Glue represents a pioneering effort. "This is a first of its kind," Lippie stated. "As of today, we are the only company on the planet who monitors IT Glue in this way on a third-party basis." The solution enables monitoring of user activity within the IT Glue application, automatically alerting MSP executives if any unusual behaviour is detected.
Lippie further commented on the significance for IT Glue, highlighting their unique position in the market. "This is a good thing for IT Glue, because they can accurately claim that they are the only IT documentation product on the market that has a third-party monitoring service that monitors their security," he explained. The added security visibility is expected to enhance IT Glue's operational integrity.
Growing Interest Among MSPs
Lippie anticipates that the integration will spark considerable interest from MSPs in SaaS Alerts' offerings. Given IT Glue's strong presence among MSPs, those attending the Kaseya event may naturally gravitate towards this new functionality. "Our goal at ConnectIT is to sign up 100 MSPs to our 30-day free trial, and we feel this release of the IT Glue functionality will help us achieve that goal," Lippie stated. With approximately 10,000 MSPs using IT Glue, many attendees are expected to explore the new support feature. For now, IT Glue remains the sole documentation vendor that SaaS Alerts collaborates with, as confirmed by Lippie. "IT Glue is the 800 lb gorilla in the space," he noted, underscoring the company's primary focus on working with IT Glue, which had assisted in enhancing their APIs.
Future Integrations and Conference Participation
This latest service for IT Glue complements SaaS Alerts' support for other major collaboration tools, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Dropbox, and Slack. Lippie mentioned that future integrations with remote monitoring and management (RMM) vendors are also in the pipeline. "We expect to have this done in the weeks and months to come," he stated, noting that research has already commenced to enhance some of the APIs of these vendors. The long-term goal is to integrate with every significant MSP tool over the next six to nine months.
Besides hosting a recruitment drive from its sponsor booth at the event, SaaS Alerts is further engaging attendees through Lippie's participation in a panel discussion at the M&A Forum. This session aims to help MSPs navigate through industry consolidations. Additionally, Lippie is set to lead a breakout session later that same afternoon.
