ProdataKey (PDK), manufacturer of the cloud access control platform built for mobile released a new version of its ProdataKey App. This unique, all-inclusive app for Apple and Android combines the functionality of PDK.io, the powerful mobile-first management interface for PDK access control systems, with mobile credentialing and remote access previously available only through PDK touch.

The new app delivers convenience for anyone who administers a PDK access control system and utilises it to move about their workplace by eliminating the need to navigate two distinct interfaces. All things "PDK" are accessible in one place.

Remote access

For current users of PDK's touch app, nothing changes. Their app will simply update with its new name, continuing to store their mobile Bluetooth credentials and allowing them to remotely open doors for which they have permission.

For example, employees might use the ProdataKey App to remotely permit a delivery person to drop off packages through a locked back entrance while remaining at their desk. Administrative features will not be visible to them.

Additional touch feature

Individuals who have relied on the PDK.io app for system installation, configuration, maintenance

Individuals who have relied on the PDK.io app for system installation, configuration, maintenance, administration, and security monitoring will find those capabilities plus the touch app's features combined within the new ProdataKey App.

As many administrators rely primarily on their phones to manage their facility’s PDK system, the addition of touch features is particularly desirable.

User-friendly experience

"PDK prides itself on having the most user-friendly experience of any access control solution, and that commitment extends to everyone who touches the system including integrators, technicians, administrators, employees, and tenants," said Brach Bengtzen, Director of Marketing at ProdataKey.

"Combining all of PDK’s functionality under one umbrella means one less icon on their phones and one less app to keep current.” The new ProdataKey app can be downloaded from PDK’s website, GooglePlay, and Apple’s App Store.
