Managing Director of Global MSC Security, Derek Maltby, states, “Andy has been providing services to many of Global MSC Security’s clients for almost 20 years.”

He adds, “As part of our expanded team, he brings with him a wealth of technical and operational experience that will help take the company to the next level, servicing the needs of local authorities, and extending our capabilities beyond public space surveillance.”

Addressing the need for public surveillance

Commenting on his appointment, Andy Williams, says, “My first interaction with Global MSC Security came in 2005 when we successfully responded to a project tender. Since this time, I have been constantly impressed by the high regard in which Derek and the team are held.

He adds, “Their close relationship with many of the market-leading vendors enables them to keep pace with technology innovation and to match solutions with evolving needs of public space surveillance.”

Proactive monitoring

Andy Williams further said, “Today, CCTV in these settings focuses more on proactive monitoring, which is made challenging by UK weather, lighting conditions, and the physical distance between cameras and the subject. It is for this reason that the technology infrastructure needs to be exceptional.

He concludes, “This is where I can help, by mapping these requirements into a tender specification that in turn delivers the right technology at the right price to meet current and future needs.
