Synectics and Bricomp showcased Synergy security management software

Integrating surveillance technology and business management solutions, to improve both air passenger experience and business performance, was a key topic at AeroXchange 2013.

The concept was presented by Azadar Shah, Managing Director for Synectics networks division, at a seminar designed to show how the aerospace industry can benefit from advances in modern surveillance technology and thinking.

Azadar said: “CCTV and surveillance are no longer a stand-alone security specific business component. By integrating multiple operational, business and surveillance systems into one common platform, it’s now possible to not only ensure passenger, staff and site security, but also improve overall customer experience and operational efficiency, by using detailed information analysis and analytics. It’s an interesting area and one which was really well received by the aerospace professionals attending the show.

Synectics, exhibiting in partnership with Bricomp International Pte Ltd, demonstrated information integration in practice using its Synergy security management platform.

Mr Kane Teo, Managing Director of Bricomp, was also struck by the high level of interest in the concept. He said: “The show enabled us to showcase the benefits of the Synergy software in a large scale deployment to the Aviation industry. There was a great deal of interest in the benefits of integrating disparate systems into a single user interface, to give users more efficient situational awareness. The feedback from airport consultants and system integrators was extremely positive.

As well as demonstrating how Synergy can integrate with third party systems - including access control, building management, intruder detection, and public address systems - aerospace and aviation professionals also saw how reporting, interactive mapping, contractor management and incident management capabilities delivers enhanced operational and safety benefits.
