Mirasys is ready to address growing demand for IP-ready Video Management Software in India
Mirasys Ltd, a leading provider of Open Platform and Video Management and Video Surveillance Solutions, has announced continued focus on global expansion with developments in India. This move extends Mirasys' reach into South Asia from one of its innovation centres to be based there.

Mirasys' expansion has been spurred by an exponential rise in market demand for Video Management Software that brings state-of-the-art intelligence and supports IP-based systems in an environment where the global market is expected to grow by 200% between 2010 and 2012. The India market leads the way with expected growth of up to 35% year over the year. Following the company's move into Germany in October, and Italy, Thailand in March 2010, Mirasys' India presence will target both IP and analogue opportunities offering hybrid systems, which allow the use of analogue and IP-based technology to integrate in one system simultaneously.

Mirasys will exhibit at the upcoming IFSEC India 2010 during November in Mumbai. Demonstrations include the Open Architecture enterprise software showcasing India customer case studies and integration with various leading edge camera partners such as: Axis, Samsung, Wipro, Panasonic, VIVOTEK, Hikvision and others, and demonstrating sophisticated video content analysis functionality from a host of its Open VCA© community platform providers.

"We have been proud to have on board Mumbai-born, Silicon Valley based executive Mr. Hemang Kapasi to provide leadership for our global market development capabilities. India represents a fundamental market in our worldwide growth strategy and a primary centre of innovation for the sophisticated needs of the security market," said Mr. Jukka Riivari CEO of Mirasys Ltd from Helsinki in Finland. "Our countries have similar values, India being the largest free market democracy, our commitment is long term and focuses on sustaining innovation on both sides of the border. We look forward to the opportunity to serve our Indian clients by creating specific innovations for their unique needs, and furthermore hope to leverage the entrepreneurial spirit of doing business in India by furthering excellent support to our partners globally."

"Having witnessed mounting security challenges in India's development and its unique needs for specific solutions, it's a privilege for me to bring state-of-the-art technology to join hands in this fight. Mirasys has a history of innovation, openness in collaborationand entrepreneurship in not only its business approach but also the core platform and has demonstrated this via the Open VMS© Platform strategy. We have more than 45,000 customers around the globe using up to a million cameras integrated to Mirasys solutions," said Mr. Hemang Kapasi, Vice President and General Manager. "Most importantly, we arrive with the honour of being selected to help secure the Indian Railways - the world's largest railway network which is a testimony to our capability in securing mass transit and critical national infrastructure. We look forward to meeting various stakeholders in the IFSEC Mumbai exhibition."
