One of ONVIF's members, Merit Lilin, has announced the release of the world's first ONVIF conformant products, including both cameras and an encoder. According to an ONVIF representative, it is only a question of time until we see a wide range of ONVIF conformant products available. The forum now has more than 70 member companies and a recent analysis from IMS Research shows that these companies account for nearly 60% of the global market for network video products. ONVIF was founded in 2008 by Axis, Bosch and Sony.
