ADT UK and Ireland, experts in home security, announces the launch of its new ADT Smart Home Hub – a new touchscreen alarm panel – for its ADT Smart Home system. The latest update is equipped with all the features necessary to keep the home safe in the most convenient, stylish, and user-friendly way, blending it into the home interiors and lifestyle.

The ADT Smart Home Hub differs from its competitors with a wide range of features, bringing ease to home security, and has been upgraded extensively since the previous model with new and improved features.

Digital photo frame

The 7” touchscreen panel has extra features including Wide-Angle, 120° Field-of-View, Fixed-Focus Camera, with Flex-Tilt Adjustment to get a better shot of the person who disarms the system. It also comes with a Bluetooth speaker and the option for a SmartMount IQ Table stand with built-in subwoofer that enables music to be played.

Alongside the speaker, the ADT Smart Home Hub offers space for an SD card to transform the panel into a digital photo frame, blending seamlessly into the home interiors.

The new product launch comes after research from ADT UK&I found that almost one in five people (17%) have no security systems in place to protect their homes and valuables, despite 25% of Britons experiencing a break-in during their lifetime, with an average value of £1198.10 stolen.

Individual smart phones

The new ADT Smart Home Hub has several other features ideal for keeping the home clear of unwanted visitors for £199 which includes:

  • Advanced 8MP camera that takes a photo when the panel is unset
  • Built-in siren
  • Glass break detector - measuring sound up to 85dB, the alarm won’t alert to a similar noise, such as a broken glass or plate
  • Bluetooth disarm – seamlessly connect up to 5 individual smart phones
  • Bluetooth speaker
  • SD card slot – to use panel as digital photo frame
  • Live answer option
  • Recording when alarm is activated
  • Three mounting/standing options
  • Dual signalling – compatible with both WiFi and GPRS
  • Peek in – on demand snapshots from the camera via the ADT Smart Services app
