Modern security and access control technologies have evolved over the years to offer many advantageous features. However, to gain the full benefit, installations often need to use multiple devices with various connectors, along with specific settings that can all add complexity. Yet with clever design and good integration, a modern system can become easier to set up and simpler to use. A great example of this approach is the MOBOTIX “Plug & Play” concept.
Plug & Play system elements
In essence, it uses multiple system elements that have all been pre-tested and configured along with a common connection and power distribution method to reduce complexity. These “Plug & Play” bundles have options for home or office use which can include camera, door station, video intercom, Network Attached Storage device and RFID transponder for key-cards.
These devices are connected using included Power-over-Ethernet switches and all items are pre-configured and ready to use out of the box. The kits also come with mounting accessories and video management software to allow for rapid installation and instant operation without the need for any additional licensing. Plug & Play offers security without complexity.
