AEOS: software-driven security management platform

AEOS is the first software-based security management platform. As the demands for security systems become more complex, they need to become easier to adjust. AEOS uses generic controllers. Via Nedap's software, AEOS controllers can accommodate functionality for access control, intrusion detection, video management and locker management. So there is only one truly integrated, flexible platform instead of drivers linking separate servers and systems. This makes AEOS extremely flexible, future-proof and easier to use than any other security solution. Any type or brand of hardware can be used – whether it’s existing security equipment or new additions. And, with a choice of more than 150 functionalities, each determined by software components, setting up and adjusting a system to suit each building, location and situation becomes quick.

Nedap How it Works

Nedap appreciates that one is unlikely to know exactly what security arrangements he/she will need in five years’ time. This doesn’t matter with AEOS. Its software-led functionality allows to extend and adjust security platform much more easily and cost-effectively than traditional systems. One does not need to invest in a new driver to add functionality such as intrusion detection – just upload the relevant AEOS software and reconfigure the system with a few clicks of mouse.

Nedap is continually updating and adding their collection of software, so one can always keep its system up-to-date. One can start small and develop their platform as they need to, or integrate AEOS with their existing system to improve its operation and prolong their investments.

You’re always in control

Configuring AEO Nedap

In other security management platforms, servers determine functionality – with AEOS it’s determined by the user's local controllers. The user can set a company-wide policy centrally, which all its controllers will adopt. But if a location needs to comply with different regulations or requirements, one can adjust the functionality or settings on the local controller.
All AEOS controllers have the power to communicate peer-to-peer and authorise access without communicating with the user's server. This freedom from the host lessens the load on the user's network and means the user's security platform keeps working, even if the connection with its main office goes down.

Simple to manage via the web

Managing AEOS

Everything on AEOS is managed via a simple web dashboard that one can use on any browser, so the user avoids the security risk of downloading software onto computers. There are different profiles for different users of the system. Each is so intuitive people need little training and are much more efficient in completing their tasks. Wherever the user is, he/she can always monitor, adapt and respond to its AEOS security management platform. If an incident occurs, the user gets a real-time report. One can monitor and manage situations – even if they’re acoss the world
