The Gold Award recognised Hikvision’s outstanding sales success in the Asian market

Hikvision Singapore, a subsidiary of Hikvision Digital Technology – the worldwide leader in innovative video surveillance products and solutions, has won the prestigious Gold Award in the 2015 One Asia Awards. As well as recognising the company’s outstanding sales success in the Asian market, the One Asia judges also commented positively on the Singapore office’s localisation strategy and the high level of customer support offered to the regional market.

Capturing local market

According to Derek Yang, General Manager for Hikvision Asian market, “Our offer of instant pre-sales and after-sales support is much appreciated by customers large and small, as is our professional technical consulting service. It has been a significant factor in the outstanding sales success we have enjoyed in the marketplace.

“Hikvision products have been widely used in Singapore’s verticals to ensure a safer environment for local residents. Among them, we also welcome the opportunity to play a significant role within Singapore's uniquely different public housing facilities, which accommodate over 80% of the population. It is a source of national pride that approximately 90% of the HDB flats are occupant-owned and we are privileged to have installed over 100,000 IP channels so far to reduce crime and create a secure atmosphere for all the residents,” says Yang.

The One Asia Awards was created in 2011 by APF Group (Founded by a group of entrepreneurs to encourage Singapore's businesses to grow together towards a common future) to recognise successful Enterprises in Asia that are socially responsible. The aim is to promote these SMEs’ sustainable growth and encourage more businesses to contribute to social development in their pursuit of expansion in the belief that these SMEs are the critical economic growth engines for Asia.
