HID

HID Global, a front-runner in trusted identity solutions, announced that its new HID® ELEMENT offering has earned the 2020 Blue Shield Technology Innovation Award at China’s 16th Security Document Summit (SDS).

HID ELEMENT is a high-volume, fully modular desktop-based secure ID and financial card personalisation solution that has created a new category for mid-range and high-volume market segments, such as government entities, financial card issuers and service bureaus. Its UV inkjet printing, laser engraving and encoding capabilities help users meet a broad range of use case applications and offer higher resolution and lower total cost of ownership than most ribbon-based direct-to-card (DTC)/retransfer printers.

Reputable award

We are proud to receive this recognition for HID ELEMENT, which bridges a long-established gap between desktop printers and large central issuance machines and empowers our customers to build and scale their card personalisation programs according to business needs,” Craig Sandness, Vice President and Managing Director of Secure Issuance with HID Global.

The Blue Shield award recognises the most innovative and advanced security solutions and is the most reputable award in China's secure document industry. Established in 2004, SDS explores next-generation document security and focuses on security technology of banknotes, ID documents, securities and certificates.
