HID has announced the appointment of Jos Beernink as Vice President for its Physical Access Control (PACS) division in Europe.
Beernink will oversee the strategic direction, sales, and operations across the continent, guiding organisations in utilising trusted identity and access control solutions to enhance workplace and physical space security and efficiency.
Extensive industry experience
With over 25 years of international leadership in technology and security, Jos Beernink has an impressive track record. His previous roles span companies like Atari, Tech Data, Samsung Electronics, Honeywell Security & Fire, Genetec, and Milestone Systems, part of the Canon Group. Beernink expressed his enthusiasm about joining HID, praising its pioneering role in secure identity and access solutions.

Diverse educational and personal background
Jos Beernink holds a business degree in Commercial Economics and studied Business Administration in the Netherlands. He has completed executive programmes at prestigious institutions, such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and Nyenrode University, where he authored a paper on cyber risk preparedness in boardrooms.
Outside of his professional life, he is a licenced private pilot, dedicated runner, and active member of the Lions International chapter, demonstrating his passion for technology, travel, and community service.
