HID to address critical advances in the design and delivery of credentials for major government ID programs

HID Global, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions, will address the critical advances in the design and delivery of credentials for major government ID programs at the ID WORLD International Congress in Frankfurt, Germany from October 16th – 18th, 2012. Thomas Harenberg, vice president of sales for Government ID Solutions Middle East/Africa, is scheduled to present at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16 during the “Secure Documents” track. Throughout the conference, HID Global will showcase its leading portfolio of Government ID Solutions offerings at Stand B32.

In his address “Innovations in the Design and Delivery of Major Government-to-Citizen ID Credential Programs”, Harenberg will speak about major trends affecting state and national ID projects worldwide, including the increasing adoption of multi-functional eID credentials by governments, and the consequent need for enhanced levels of system interoperability and seamless integration. Harenberg will discuss the innovations in construction, integration and issuance that are critical to maximise the security, convenience and reliability offered by this new generation of credentials.

“Governments are increasingly opting for more intelligent and secure eIDs to deliver a vast array of benefits, from speeding up border crossings and streamlining tax collection to contributing to safer health care delivery. Providing governments and their citizens with the full benefits of these credentials will continue to take ingenuity, innovation and a commitment to the highest technical and program standards,” said Harenberg.

The presentation will draw on the company’s experience in the delivery of major programs in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Africa, including the Angolan National ID.
