HID Global®, a worldwide leader in secure identity solutions, recently announced that it has integrated its EasyLobby® Secure Visitor Management™ software with the Genetec® Synergis® line of access control systems.  The EasyLobby SVM™ software also brings advanced visitor management capabilities to Genetec’s Security Center offering, one of the industry’s most comprehensive unified security platforms for access control, video surveillance and license plate recognition.

“This tight integration of the enterprise-class EasyLobby SVM software with our IP access control solution brings important new visitor management capabilities to our customers,” said Jimmy Palatsoukas, senior product manager with Genetec. “Synergis customers can now take advantage of the powerful features of the EasyLobby SVM solution, which has been proven across diverse applications in corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare and property management. Genetec customers can tap into the industry-leading feature set and unparalleled flexibility of the EasyLobby SVM solution and take advantage of the integration functions now available.”

HID Global’s EasyLobby SVM solution offer a more efficient method for managing visitors by enabling lobby attendants to issue proximity cards or bardcoded badges to visitors or contractors directly from the EasyLobby station to open a door, turnstile or activate an elevator controlled by their Synergis access control system.  EasyLobby SVM software brings to Genetec Synergis customers a wide variety of visitor management capabilities that extend from visitor registration to web-based pre-registration, and employee/contractor time and attendance functionality.

“We are very excited to be integrating our EasyLobby SVM software with Genetec’s widely deployed Synergis access control solution,” said Howard Marson, vice president and general manager with EasyLobby, an HID Global business. “Genetec Synergis customers now have access to the industry’s most affordable, feature-rich, customisable, and easy-to-use visitor management solution, including software and hardware peripherals.”

Tight integration between the EasyLobby SVM and Synergis application gives Genetec customers more flexibility to quickly and easily grant proximity card or barcode access to visitors or contractors as required, without lobby attendants having to interface directly with the Synergis system. Users can issue different levels of access to visitors and contractors from the EasyLobby SVM visitor station. When a visitor or contractor is badged using SVM, all key information is automatically passed from the SVM database to the Synergis database, and the prox card or barcode is activated in real-time. When visitors check out of EasyLobby SVM, the Synergis system is immediately notified and the card is deactivated.

This same functionality also applies when the EasyLobby SVM solution is used within the Genetec Security Center, a unified security platform that seamlessly blends Genetec’s Synergis access control, Omnicast video surveillance and AutoVu IP license plate recognition systems into a single solution. The Security Center consolidates real-time monitoring, alarm management, reporting, and playback of events across all security systems, from one interface, and now also delivers advanced visitor management capabilities through seamless integration of HID Global’s EasyLobby SVM solution with the Synergis access control system.
