ASSA ABLOY Access Control and HID Global have presented the latest revolutionary thinking in access control and security at a dedicated event, held at the prestigious Wallace Collection in Central London.

Included in the programme were keynote addresses from leading security experts and end users, including Ian Frazer, Vice President, EMEA Regional Head Security Technology at Credit Suisses Securities (Europe) Ltd and Mark Abbott, Technical Program Manager at Microsoft.

Head of Security at the Wallace Collection, John Power illustrated the issues surrounding security within the museum sector and specifically, sourcing products and services to protect one of Europe's finest collections of original works of art, paintings, furniture, arms, armour and porcelain.

As leading specialists in wireless locking solutions and security, Chris Bone Vice President ASSA ABLOY Access Control EMEA and Yves Ackerman, Manager Strategic Growth Initiative HID Global presented their industry views on future trends in access control and security.

Guests were also exclusively treated to a private tour of the impressive works on display at the Wallace Collection, including best known paintings as the Laughing Cavalier from Dutch Baroque artist Frans Hals, and the Swing by Jean-Honoré Fragonard.

Says Matt Thomas, Managing Director of ASSA ABLOY Access Control and Compere of the event: "As the first of its kind, we are delighted with the outcome of the event and have received significant positive feedback on the variety of speakers and insightful content of the presentations, alongside choosing such a world renowned venue as the Wallace Collection."

"This is a very exciting time for access control and security, as despite the difficult financial climate, many significant changes are about to occur in the industry which will impact on the complete supply chain, from manufacturers to end-users. Based on this success, we will certainly be planning more events and encourage those involved to attend to ensure considered security solutions are selected for the right sector."
