Video surveillance solutions manufacturer Dahua introduces new specialty cameras for the critical infrastructure vertical at ASIS 2017, including explosion-proof devices and a network positioning system.

Critical infrastructure market

“Critical infrastructure is a market that has very specialised needs for video surveillance – there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution,” commented Jennifer Hackenburg, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Dahua Technology USA. “Dahua’s R&D team is continually innovating new products that meet the high requirements of these verticals and help keep people and assets safe.”

Dahua’s explosion-proof cameras offer a combination of rugged reliability and superior optics, an ideal fit for surveillance of explosive and corrosive environments, including chemical plants, refineries, and other facilities in the oil and gas industry. This explosion-proof series of cameras are housed in enclosures that are certified to the ATEX and IECEx standards for equipment in explosive atmospheres.

Each explosion-proof camera features Dahua’s Starlight technology for ultra low-light sensitivity and high-definition sensors that deliver crisp, clear images in real-time. They are IP68-rated to prevent water and dust ingress.

Dahua Starlight IR NPS

The Dahua Starlight IR Network Positioning System delivers HD images in real-time with pin-point accuracy even in corrosive and volatile environments, making it the camera of choice for critical infrastructure applications. These cameras provide positional accuracy to 0.1°, 24/7 touring capabilities, and up to 300 presets for superior coverage over a wide area; and its Starlight technology ensures colour images in near total darkness.

The Dahua Positioning System with integrated Intelligent Video System (IVS) analytics, auto-tracking, and IR illumination provide an all-in-one video surveillance solution.

Visit Dahua at Booth 4145 at the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Dallas, Texas, September 26- 28, and see these cameras, along with other new and innovative products from Dahua.

Dahua takes the lead in bringing advanced security technology to Antarctica

Antarctica is the Earth’s southernmost and least populated continent. It holds the world record for the lowest temperature ever measured: −89.2 °C (−128.6 °F). To help cover different scientific bases in the Argentine region of Antarctica, Dahua Technology has donated 15 security cameras specially developed to handle the harsh weather conditions in the “white continent”. These devices enable 24-hour footage, increase contact and connectivity with scientists...
