Dahua Technology Ltd

On June 21st, Dahua Technology, a solution provider in the global video surveillance industry, held a technical session together with Intel at IFSEC 2018, to introduce AI NVR based on FPGA technology for security applications.

Steve Norman, Sales Director of Dahua UK & Ireland highlighted Dahua’s new AI NVR based on Intel FPGA technology, which is able to realize real-time face recognition powered by AI, thanks to the deterministic low latency performance of Intel FPGAs. Moreover, Intel FPGAs are highly flexible and easy-to-use, which has enabled Dahua to better design its unique AI products.

Low power visual intelligence

Todd Matsler, Director of Intel Global IOT Video also introduced Intel’s vision product technology including the Intel FPGA & Intel Movidius VPU, which are both equipped on Dahua’s new deepsense series AI products. He especially pointed out the deterministic low latency, superb performance, power efficiency and future readiness of FPGA make it suitable for deep learning inference. Intel Movidius VPU enables low power visual intelligence, delivering dedicated imaging, vision, and deep neural networks at the edge.

With the in-depth presentations, participants of the technical session were fascinated by the great future AI could bring to the surveillance industry. With the mission of ‘Enabling a Safer Society and Smarter Living’, Dahua technology is making significant progress in exploring the great value of artificial intelligence to security applications.

Dahua delivers customised monitoring solution for Pengsheng Industrial Park in Uzbekistan

Pengsheng Industrial Park is the first investment project by a Chinese private enterprise in Uzbekistan that has been acknowledged and ratified by the governments of the two countries. Located in Uzbekistan's Sirdaryo state, the Pengsheng Industrial Park is the biggest non-energy cooperation project between China and the Central Asian country. At present, there are over 10 workshops covering various fields with a total number of more than 1,500 employees. As a model project of China-Uzbekistan...

Dahua delivers cameras, monitors and switches for surveillance of city centre in Lincoln

A 300-plus camera city centre video surveillance scheme in Lincoln has been installed and commissioned using cameras, monitors and switching equipment from Dahua Technology. The previous analogue-based CCTV system was more than 20 years old and had become expensive to maintain, so City of Lincoln Council decided to replace the analogue cameras and transmission equipment with HD digital equipment. The total cost of ownership has been reduced by the savings made on legacy fibre lease costs, as we...

Dahua’s intelligent video surveillance solution deployed at Recife’s subway

Recife’s urban trains system carries around 400 thousand passengers a day – it is the third largest railway operator in number of users in Brazil. To ensure a safe journey for passengers, it is imperative to increase the subway security with modern technologies and monitoring equipment. The main challenge was to adapt the technology to the specific conditions such as lighting, people flow and speed of a subway station while not interrupting the transportation service. Therefore, eas...
