IP camera leader Arecont Vision appoints Peter MCKee, looking forward to EMEA growth

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, has appointed surveillance camera industry veteran Peter McKee as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). McKee joins the company after a decade of success in the security industry in sales management, marketing and business development assignments.

McKee will manage the EMEA region for Arecont Vision, including the sales team. He will also take personal responsibility for strategic accounts, building on the company's top level relationships at key distributors, systems integrators and technology partners. In his new position, McKee will establish a regional headquarters for Arecont Vision in Frankfurt, Germany. He is fluent in German in addition to his native English.

Peter McKee joined MOBOTIX AG early in its development. He was responsible for the establishment and growth of that company's distributor and integrator/installer partner network, the locating, hiring and training of their international sales team, as well as instigating and establishing their international partner training program. In 2008, McKee took on the position of International Marketing Director and created a new approach to the marketing of products and services to distributors, integrators and installers. He was later promoted to Head of Global Marketing. From 1986 through 2001, McKee developed a reputation as a skilled marketer, first in the automobile industry in Germany and then with his own sales and marketing firm.

"I like new challenges and I like to build businesses. The opportunity to lead EMEA sales for Arecont Vision is the perfect opportunity for me," McKee said. "Arecont Vision's growth over the past eight years has been phenomenal. I am excited to apply my 10+ years experience in the global IP video market and in particular with high-definition IP video to the promotion of the company's multi-megapixel products and the development of our sales and marketing teams in the EMEA region."

"The Europe - Middle East - Africa marketplace is important to Arecont Vision and the demand for our megapixel IP camera technology continues to grow in this region," said Scott Schafer, Executive Vice President, Arecont Vision. "We have developed relationships with key distributors, systems integrators and technology partners who are continuing to recognize that megapixel IP cameras significantly improve image quality, boost system functionality, lower systems costs and improve the ROI for their customers. We view Peter McKee as an important addition to our executive team, and one who will lead us to significant growth in EMEA."
