Smith & Wesson Security Services appoints Tyke Burgwald as Regional Sales Manager

Tyke Burgwald is the new Regional Sales Manager for Smith & Wesson Security Services
Tyke's efforts will help meet the growing demand for Smith & Wesson Security products in the Midwest region

Smith & Wesson Security Services, the fast-growing national network of professional security dealers, is pleased to announce it has appointed Tyke Burgwald as its Midwest Regional Sales Manager.

Burgwald brings over 28 years of experience to the position with expertise in business management, sales, dealer development, dealer funding and acquisitions. Within the security industry, Burgwald has served multiple roles across a diverse cross-section of companies and responsibilities, including franchise sales, distribution and dealer programme recruitment.

"Tyke Burgwald has a proven track record of sales performance and dealer development throughout our industry," said Aaron Wahrsager, Chief Operating Officer of NationWide Digital Monitoring Co., which operates Smith & Wesson Security Services under license from Smith & Wesson Corp. "His expertise will help bolster the success of Smith & Wesson Security Services in the Midwest region, and we are excited to have him join our team."

Burgwald will support sales initiatives in the Midwest, helping to acquire more dealers and conduct sales training. His efforts will help meet the growing demand for Smith & Wesson Security products in the region, bringing the network's wide range of security solutions into more homes and businesses.

Prior to joining Smith & Wesson, Burgwald served as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Advanced Technology Video Inc. (ATV), a specialised CCTV equipment provider. While at ATV, Burgwald increased sales 41 percent over a one-year period, overseeing all dealer development in 14 states. He worked hands-on with dealers in a number of areas, including operations, management, sales, marketing and product training.

Throughout his career, Burgwald has helped build successful dealer programmes for companies like Broadview, ADT and Bosch Security. In addition to building close business relationships with dealers on a one-on one-basis, he has also conducted many training seminars throughout the country.

"I am looking forward to bringing my expertise and knowledge to the Smith & Wesson team, helping the dealer network continue to build in the Midwest market," said Burgwald. "My ongoing working relationship with over 3,000 independent alarm dealers will enable us to attract the best, most seasoned professionals in the business, as well as the customers they serve."

Burgwald will be centrally located in the Chicago metropolitan area.
