|Redcare's remote management portal results in lower labour and fuel costs
Redcare is launching a remote management portal, allowing Secure installers to access their alarm panels remotely for fast, effective, around-the-clock support to their customers, reducing the need for an engineer site visit for routine inspections or faults.
Redcare Secure uses the existing alarm panel download software to connect through the Redcare Secure network with new upload and download functionality via a wireless GPRS or IP connection in a secure, encrypted session. It even avoids the hassle and call costs of using the customer’s telephone line whilst enhancing the security by removing PSTN access to the alarm panel.
The Redcare remote management portal, www.redcare.com/remotemanagerment, enables installers to remotely and securely manage their connections from a PC in the office or from a laptop while they are on the road. Installers will be able to remotely diagnose and reconfigure their estate of devices.
Being able to virtually manage their estates in this way means installers can improve customer service and cut costs by reducing the need to send an engineer to site. As well as a reduction in labour and fuel costs, installer will be able to get a snapshot of the condition of the alarm estate without trawling through bulky monitoring reports. For the end customer, it means routine maintenance can be conducted without a visit to their premises, no more waiting for an engineer to visit to conduct an initial fault diagnosis.
Redcare has also refreshed its online shop, www.btinstallershop.com, making it easier for installers to buy STUs, Fire products, spares and accessories online, and view and download installation guides and supporting material.
IFSEC 2012 will also see the launch of special offers on Redcare’s Fire STU and the Roaming SIM option on Redcare Secure. Visitors will be able to try out the new remote management portal, see the newly refitted Redcare shop, register for Redcare Partners and have the chance to win an iPad a day in its free to enter competitions.
The success of Redcare Partner, Redcare’s incentive scheme that rewards installers for their continued business, has exceeded expectations with close to 1,000 installers registered. Redcare rewards installers for every new connection of Classic, GSM and Secure, to the value of up to £60 each. Over time these funds can accumulate and may be re-invested in the business or used to reward the installer or their staff. Redcare expects to sign up their 1,000th installer at IFSEC International and will mark the occasion with a special award.
With more than 25 years of experience, Redcare is recognised as having a world leading platform for connecting, controlling and managing data, serving some of the largest organisations in the world.
David Gummer, general manager - Telemetry, Redcare, said: “Redcare's aim is to bring the entire security supply chain together. IFSEC International does that for the industry - that’s why we’re here.
